Air Liquide to invest 500 million euros in three new plants for the semiconductor sector in TaiwanAir Liquide to invest 500 million euros in three new plants for the semiconductor sector in Taiwan

Air Liquide Far Eastern, a joint venture between Air Liquide and the Far Eastern Group, will invest 500 million euros in the development of three plants in Taiwan, despite the numerous geopolitical uncertainties that exist today. The advancement of chip manufacturing and ongoing cooperation with the two biggest semiconductor producers appear to be the main goals here. Thus, the location is in the proximity of customers in Taiwan.

Additionally, it’s anticipated that the first plant will start producing ultra-pure oxygen, argon, and nitrogen by 2024. The investment fits with the group strategy plan (ADVANCE), as 400 million euros have already been invested in 2019–21.
