BIOBLEND PURCHASES ENVIRONMENTAL LUBRICANTS MANUFACTURING (ELM)
Sustainable lubricants are made from renewable resources, such as natural esters from vegetable oils or plant-based oils. They are also biodegradable, which means they can break down naturally in the environment. This makes them far superior to traditional petroleum-based lubricants, which pollute waterways and contribute to climate change.
Bioblend, a leading provider of sustainable lubricants and greases, recently acquired Environmental Lubricant Manufacturing, which produces biodegradable lubricants and greases using its patented microwave technology. This acquisition would provide Bioblend with a tremendous opportunity to significantly scale its business through expanded capabilities in sustainable grease manufacturing. The Bioblend and ELM portfolios are entirely comprised of biodegradable lubricants and greases, and thus the acquisition would provide a smooth thrust to the industry’s growth in the sustainable spectrum. The portfolio growth or change following this strategic move by both companies will be very intriguing to watch.
