DuPont to Buy Engineered Materials Maker Rogers Corp. for $5.2B; Plans to Divest Mobility Business
DuPont acquired specialty engineered materials maker Rogers Corp. for $5.2 billion, as part of an ongoing transformation by the storied Wilmington chemicals company to diversify its holdings.
DuPont also said it plans to divest a substantial portion of its Mobility & Materials segment in the Engineering Polymers and Performance Resins lines of business as well as its stake in the DuPont Teijin Films joint venture. Product lines the company is looking to sell include Zytel, Delrin, Hytrel, Crastin, Vamac, and Tedlar. Combined, the businesses represent roughly $4.2 billion in revenue
